A warning Thursday from Attorney General Lisa Madigan: four million inflatable baby floats have been recalled after reports of the product tearing and causing infants to fall into the water.
Madigan says parents should stop using the Aqua-Leisure baby floats immediately.
Aqua-Leisure, the manufacturer, will give affected consumers a full refund.
The recalled floats were sold in a variety of styles and colors between December 2002 and June 2009 at retail outlets including Toys "R" Us, Wal-Mart, Target, Dollar General, Kmart, Walgreens, Ace Hardware and Bed, Bath & Beyond.
The floats are shaped like boats, cars, crabs, ducks and turtles. Model numbers and pictures can be found here on the Web site of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
