Brad Pitt talked about what it’s really like raising six kids, his and Angelina’s desire for more and his disdain for the paparazzi on an interview on the "Today" show.

Brad Pitt opened up in a new interview with Ann Curry on the “Today” show this morning, and he held nothing back when it came to his family and the paparazzi.

Brad talked about what it’s really like raising six kids, his and Angelina’s desire for more and his disdain for the paparazzi.

“I’m really proud of this family,” Brad told Ann in the New Orleans-set interview. “I look at my sons and my daughters – one is from Vietnam, one is from Cambodia, one is from Ethiopia and here are these kids who were born in Namibia and in France, and they’re brothers and sisters. They’re fighting and laughing, going into hysterics, messing with their parents and driving me crazy. Truly, I feel rich being around them. Each one of them offers so much to the mix.”

“But it’s surprising – six kids aren’t as easy as you’d think,” he laughed.

So with a house full of rug rats – and new movies left and right for Brad and Angelina – some are wondering how the superstar couple can fit it all in to their busy schedules.

“People think that you guys are nuts when you think about having more,” Ann said to Brad.

“We know what a difference we’d make,” the “Curious Case of Benjamin Button” star noted. “It’s selfish – you know what you get out of it as well.”

Of course, Brad and Angelina have expanded their brood through adoption, choosing to raise children from around the globe.

But Brad revealed the choice to adopt wasn’t necessarily an easy one for him.

“With so many orphans in the world, there are people who are thinking about adopting, but are afraid because they don’t know what it takes, they don’t know whether they can love an adopted child as much as they can love one of their own,” Anne said.

“It’s a good question. I had the same question,” Brad admitted. “[But] it’s automatic.”

So while Brad has many titles – actor, activist, father – to his name, will husband be added to that list any time soon?

“Angelina was asked recently by a reporter if you guys were ever going to get married and she said, ‘You have to ask Brad,’” Anne relayed to the actor.

“Well, she set me up didn’t she,” Brad joked. “If we feel it’s important to our kids, we’ll do so.”

But although Brad was gushing with love and praise for his family, his tone quickly turned when Ann brought up the subject of the paparazzi, who have made a business out of following the Pitt-Jolie clan around the globe.

“Let me be very blunt, I hate them,” Brad said firmly. “I hate these people. I don’t understand how they do that for a living.”

However, he was quick to distinguish between professional photographers and hounding paparazzi.

“We have to make a distinction between people who photograph celebrities at events and people who climb over walls wearing camouflage… calling out your kids’ names as you try to take them to school so they’ll look that way,” Brad continued. “I have no respect for these people. There should be laws against it. They should not be able to follow kids like this, but there’s not right now, so that’s the way it is.”

  • mariana Tuesday, Dec 9 at 9:59 PM FLAG COMMENT I don't believe the public have 'the right' to know the details of ANY celebrities life. Ofcourse, when a celebrity is at a primiere, a public meet and greet, red carpet event, they should expect photographers to be there. That is to do with that person's career. Since when do people think that they have the right to know what that person had for lunch, how their relationship with their kids are going etc? We don't. People are ... MORE >
