Angelina Takes Oprah's "Most Powerful" Crown
Angelina Jolie knocked fellow superwoman Oprah Winfrey out of the top spot on Forbes' 100 Most Powerful list, joining the ranks of President Barack Obama, Tiger Woods and Brad Pitt among the most powerful. Surprise, surprise -- Angelina Jolie tops another list. The most beautiful woman, most powerful celebrity and most likely to inspire women everywhere to hate themselves topped the Forbes Most Powerful Celebrities List this week. Oprah Winfrey, who's proven that anything she touches will immediately fly off shelves, came in second on the list. We're gearing up for an Angelina-Oprah catfight. Madonna has already conquered A-Rod, the music world and half the African baby population, so it's no wonder she landed at number 3 on the list. R&B diva Beyonce landed on the list at number 4, proving it pays to have Jay-Z in your back pocket. Although we're guessing he's not complaining to be there. What does Tiger Woods, who hit number 5 on the list, have that we don't? Oh, yeah -- a hot Swedish girlfriend, a picture-perfect family and the title of greatest golfer ever. Whatever. Bruce Springsteen was ranked at number 6 on the list, showing fans that he's still "The Boss." Steven Spielberg, who's directed everything, was a no-surprise addition, landing at number 7. Jennifer Aniston may have lost Brad Pitt, John Mayer and the majority of her dignity, but she's got something to brag about -- her number 8 spot on the Forbes list. Never mind, Jennifer -- Brad's on the list too. And Angie. Guess you're still out of luck. Kobe Bryant has led his Lakers to the championship series this season and has balled his way to the top of the Forbes list, landing squarely at number 10. Forbes makes it literal on the list with President Barack Obama, who hit the list at number 49 on the Celebrity rankings. He's the first sitting President to be featured on the list, proving he transcends politics and is still potential Us magazine fodder. Miley Cyrus somehow landed herself on the list, clocking in at number 29 and proving that Armageddon is indeed upon us. Alec Baldwin also made the list -- his 30 Rock character, who heads up the country's most powerful media organization, could have been the catalyst. Actress Meryl Streep has already been nominated for 14 Oscars -- the first-time Forbes Most Powerful list-maker earned at number 64 ranking. Joining Miley Cyrus on the too-young-too-drink portion of the list is country music star Taylor Swift, who earned a number 69 spot. Drew Barrymore may look like a homeless person, but never fear -- she's still got some E.T. money left, apparently. The producer and actress was ranked number 87 on the list. 50 Cent may have lost his house, but the "In Da Club" rapper is still pocketing the bling, says Forbes -- who placed the rapper at an appropriate #50. "American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest, who also hosts his own radio show, a top 40 countdown and will probably soon narrate our own thoughts, landed at number 44.
