Chicago’s Jam Productions is suing to break ties with the country’s biggest ticket broker, Live Nation-Ticketmaster.

The suit, filed Monday in Cook County Circuit Court, claims Ticketmaster breached a contract to sell tickets at Park West, the Vic Theatre and the Riviera Theatre when it merged with Jam’s competition, Live Nation, reports the Chicago Tribune.

If Jam Productions wins the suit, concertgoers could reap the rewards.  Their new ticket broker, eTix, caps service fees for tickets at $8.  Ticketmaster regularly charges double-digit fees for tickets to Chicago events.
