Chicago 2016's Bid Plan Gets Touch-up

On Friday, organizers of Chicago's 2016 Olympic bid unveiled several venue changes they think will make their proposal to host the Summer Games more attractive. [New Venue Maps]

The competition pool for a Chicago Olympic Games is going to be a temporary facility, and it's getting a new home.

The aquatic center is moving from Douglas Park to Washington Park, near where the Olympic Stadium would be, while beach volleyball, sailing and canoe/kayaking will be in the heart of downtown on Northerly Island.

Track cycling and the BMX course are moving from Northerly Island to Douglas Park.

The International Olympic Committee will choose a 2016 host next October.
