Police may have had the chance to nab the Pennsylvania gunman who shot up a women's aerobics class, days before the shooting spree took place.

Police from the Port Authority of Allegheny County interrogated 48-year-old George Sodini, after a woman reportedly saw a man toying with what appeared to be a hand grenade on a city bus. Police tracing the bus route stopped, searched, photographed and interrogated Sodini, but let him go after the woman who reported the incident said she wasn't positive they got the right guy.

Turns out, they did. Investigators who searched Sodini's house after he killed three women and himself at an L.A. Fitness August 4, found writings, penned by the killer, recounting the incident.
