A woman was fatally shot Tuesday night at a grocery store in northwest suburban Hanover Park.

An unidentified woman in her 20s was shot on the 1800 block of Irving Park Road and pronounced dead at St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates at 8:44 p.m., the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office said.

The shooting happened in the parking lot of the Super Mercado los Arcos grocery store.
