A man was arrested Friday night on the Northwest Side after he allegedly poked a neighbor during an argument while claiming he was a Chicago police officer.

Mjalli Haddad, 34, was arrested at 4033 N. Marmora Ave. at about 9 p.m., according to Jefferson Park District police.

He got into an argument with a neighbor who lives two houses away from him and allegedly poked the neighbor with his finger. He also threatened the neighbor and told him that he was a Chicago Police officer and worked in the Jefferson Park District, police said.

The man was wearing a Chicago Police T-shirt, which featured a police insignia, at the time of the incident.

The neighbor called police about the incident and Haddad was arrested. He was charged early Saturday with one count each of simple battery and officer impersonation, according to police.

He was released on a recognizance bond and is scheduled to appear in court on June 1.
