Two Dead After Dolton Standoff

Emergency responders wait outside a Dolton home Tuesday morning after shots were fired on the 14600 block of South Avalon.

Two people are reportedly dead after police were involved in a standoff with a man who was holed up in his south suburban home with family members for about five hours Tuesday.

Dolton police and SWAT members were called to the scene outside a home at 146th Street and Avalon Avenue about 8:30 a.m.
