A 15-year-old boy died from gunshot wounds suffered at a Halloween party in Zion, Illinois Sunday night.
Zion police said Adarius Green was found dead at a home in the 2400 block of Gliboa Avenue where the party had taken place. Neighbors reportedly heard gunfire and called the police, who arrived shortly before 1 a.m.
Evan Miller, Green's stepfather, said everyone loved his stepson.
"I don't understand what's going on right now," he said.
26-year-old Aijah Bradshaw was also shot in the back, but her mother said she is recovering.
Police said more than 100 people were seen leaving the party after the incident occurred.
As of Monday, there is no one in custody and no clear motive, officials said. Zion police are partnering with the Lake County Major Crimes task force to investigate further.
