Prior to joining NBC 5, Rob was a correspondent for the award-winning NBC newsmagazine, Dateline NBC. His Dateline report on hazing in the United States Marine Corps received a national news Emmy in 1997, and he was also nominated for Emmys in 1998 and 1999. In 2000, Stafford received an Edward R. Murrow Award for his Dateline investigation into racial profiling.
An award-winning reporter, Carol has won journalism's highest honors including two George Foster Peabody awards, two duPont-Columbia awards and two national Emmys. The awards cover a wide range of work that includes investigative reporting on political corruption and organized crime and a 20-year documentary project on the challenge of the facially disfigured.
Lisa Parker joined NBC5 in 1996 and initiated the Target 5 consumer-investigative unit. Her reports have since garnered 12 Midwest Emmys, two Edward R. Murrow Regional RTNDA awards, two Gracie Allen awards, and several state and local broadcast awards. Parker brings a depth and dimension to NBC5's investigative consumer reports, a style that brings real benefit for viewers. From the real stories of everyday consumers to the national issues, Parker investigates the things that matter most to you.
Phil Rogers joined NBC5 News as a general assignment reporter in May 1993 and he's covered everything from the War in Iraq to the Rod Blagojevich trial. Rogers is a five-time winner of Best Reporter honors from Associated Press and United Press International, as well as Edward R. Murrow Award for Investigative reporting.
Brooks joined NBC5 in 1998 as a weekend anchor from Atlanta, Ga. She's covered everything from major natural disasters to politics, crime and courts to health, consumer issues to two Olympic games, and much in between. Brooks is the recipient of numerous prestigious journalism awards for both anchoring and reporting.
As an Emmy and DuPont-Columbia award winning broadcast journalist, Johnson's career of more than 30 years includes covering the assassination attempt on President Ronald Reagan from Air Force Two with then-Vice-President George H.W. Bush, the return of the Iranian hostages at West Point, Ryan White's courageous struggle with AIDS, and more.
