Chicagoans are extremely touchy when it comes to pizza. So it wasn't surprising that when Chicago Mag unveiled their list of 25 Best Pizzas in Chicago, writer Jeff Ruby was met with an onslaught of criticism. Admittedly, we were a little confused by the list, but found it much more agreeable than Chicago Reader's reader's choice of Pie-Eyed Pizza. We were assuaged by Ruby's recent rebuttal list where <a href="http://www.chicagomag.com/Chicago-Magazine/The-312/June-2010/Chicago-Best-Pizza-Jeff-Ruby-Responds/">he explains his choices. Regarding the eyebrow-raising addition of New York-style slices on a Chicago pizza list he says, "I can understand a rivalry between cities, why take it out on the food? Just hate the people."
