Riot Fest Billed $182,000 for Humboldt Park Repairs

Ground repairs cost more than three times than last year

Rock 'n roll ain't free.

At least that's what the organizers of Riot Fest have found out after the Chicago Park District announced a $182,000 bill for damages to Humboldt Park during the Sept. 12-14 music festival.

According to the RedEye, the tab is three times more than the $54,300 spent on grounds repairs last year.

Rain turned the festival grounds into a muddy mess.

The bill pales in comparison to the $266,000 it will cost to fix Grant Park after last summer's Lollapalooza.
