Navy Pier Announces Two New Restaurants

Both eateries are part of Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises, a Chicago-based restaurant group

Two new restaurants will soon join an expanded quick-serve dining area at Navy Pier as part of a major redevelopment project, pier officials announced Monday.

Frankie’s Pizza by the Slice — an extension of Frankie’s 5th Floor Pizzeria at 900 N. Michigan — and Asian restaurant Big Bowl are slated to open early next month, Navy Pier said in a statement.

Both eateries are part of Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises, a Chicago-based restaurant group.

The restaurants will set up shop in a new communal dining area, formerly the South Arcade, that boasts views of the lakefront and skyline, as well as free WiFi and added seating, the statement said.

Navy Pier attracts nearly 9 million visitors every year, pier officials said. The new food options are part of a $115 million redevelopment plan for the pier’s 100th anniversary in 2015.
