St. Charles residents got a glimpse of Hollywood over the weekend as Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg secretly tied the knot at the iconic Hotel Baker Sunday.
The couple wed Sunday amid family and friends, McCarthy’s publicist, Brad Cafarelli, and hotel representative Rowena Salas confirmed.
Rumors of the wedding started stirring after the pair was spotted at the hotel Saturday, despite several news reports that the former co-host on “The View” and her “Wahlburgers” star fiancé were to wed in New York.
It's the second marriage for both 45-year-old Wahlberg and 41-year-old Mccarthy.
A crowd gathered outside the hotel Saturday hoping to catch a glimpse of the stars.
One fan said a waiter brought dessert out to the waiting fans.
Several of the couple’s family and friends, including Wahlberg’s mother and brother Paul along with former New Kids on the Block bandmates Jordan Knight and Danny Wood, were spotted around the town Saturday and a film crew appearing to be from the show “Wahlburgers” was seen in front of the hotel, according to the Courier-News.
Amid reports of tensions between the pair and Wahlberg’s celeb brother Mark, the younger brother tweeted a congratulatory message Saturday and apologized in an Instagram video for not being able to attend the ceremony.
Mark Wahlberg and his family were celebrating his daughter Ella's 11th birthday Saturday, he said in the video.
Sherrie Shepherd also posted about the wedding on social media, sharing a picture on Instagram.
"Catching an early morning flight to @jennyannmccarthy and @donniewahlberg's wedding," the caption read. "What a beautiful day to join as one before God! Congrats to two beautiful people!"
McCarthy, a South Side Chicago native and former Playboy bunny, announced her engagement on “The View” earlier this year.
McCarthy told how Wahlberg, star of CBS' "Blue Bloods" and a member of New Kids on the Block, proposed to her with the help of her son Evan.
