It will soon be much easier to satisfy your craving for one of the most popular but hard to get doughnuts in Chicago.
Crain's reports that Doughnut Vault is planning to open up to 12 more locations in Chicago, starting later this year.
Doughnut Vault has become a local cult favorite, but you can always expect a long line at its only River North location at 401 N. Franklin St. behind Gilt Bar restaurant.
According to Crain's, restaurateur Brendan Sodikoff is close to completing deals to open new locations in office buildings at 111 N. Canal St. and 1000 W. Fulton Market.
The Daily Meal named The Doughnut Vault's plain glazed offering the best doughnut in the country last year.
Additional planned locations were not disclosed.
