Chicago Performer Snags SNL Gig: Report

Local improv and sketch performer Claire Mulaney reportedly lands writer position

A local writer appears to be the latest of a long line of Chicago talent making their way on to "Saturday Night Live."

According to the Chicago Tribune, Claire Mulaney will join the NBC show in time for its upcoming season.

Mulaney, 25, is an improv and sketch performer and the sister of current SNL writer John Mulaney.

If you want to catch her act before she skips town, Mulaney has shows scheduled with her Chicago's Best Improv Comedy team on July 17, 30 and Aug. 6.

Last year, SNL grabbed three actors from Chicago, Cecily Strong, Aidy Bryant and Tim Robinson.
