Portwood’s lawyer told the mag the court automatically entered a not guilty plea for her.
Prosecutors have charged Portwood with three felonies, which include two counts of domestic battery, and one misdemeanor count of domestic battery stemming from three incidents over the course of a year.
Some of the alleged attacks on Gary Shirley, the father of her 2-year-old daughter, Leah, were caught on tape and aired on MTV.
Portwood's lawyer, Robert Schembs, told People late Tuesday his client is not allowed contact with Shirley but he believed Portwood would be reunited with her daughter.
If convicted of all charges, Portwood faces up to three years in jail and a $10,000 fine, E! News reported.
