Sherri Shepherd: ‘Hopefully Will Be Some Healing' With Rosie O'Donnell & Barbara Walters

Following the news that Rosie O'Donnell has opened up to Oprah Winfrey about a blow up she had with Barbara Walters while working on "The View," Sherri Shepherd told Access Hollywood she hopes for "healing" for her two friends.

"I think Barbara Walters – and Rosie knows this – is a person that you could go to dinner with and say, 'You hurt my feelings,' so, I'm glad she's saying that," Sherri told Access' Shaun Robinson Saturday night on the red carpet of the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

In clips made available to Access Hollywood to promote Rosie's appearance on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" airing this coming Monday, Rosie spoke to the talk show queen about the incident with Barbara. It wasn't immediately clear from the clip when the incident took place, however, a rep for Harpo said it happened backstage at "The View" after Barbara returned from a vacation.

"I've told Barbara Walters many times, 'Barbara, you just, you hurt my feelings!'" Sherri joked. "No, she's never hurt my feelings."

Sherri said her "View" co-host Barbara is always approachable and easy to talk to.

"It's really great that [Rosie] is saying that. Barbara Walters is a person you can talk to," Sherri continued. "Hopefully, they'll be able to get together from this… They're both really wonderful people. Hopefully [there] will be some healing."
