Gwyneth and Gaga To Make “Glee”-ful Returns

Move over, Kristen Chenoweth--there’s another blonde reprising her role on “Glee.”

Gwyneth Paltrow’s character, Holly Holliday, is returning for two episodes in the spring, Entertainment Weekly reports. Holliday, a substitute teacher (and apparent lover of Cee-Lo) will return as a sex-ed teacher to the kids at McKinley High.

“Glee’s” co-creator Ryan Murphy said that Holliday will have some romance in the future. “[Paltrow] is coming back specifically to date Will [Matthew Morrison]. Those two have become really good friends in real life and had really good chemistry.”

Currently, Murphy and Paltrow are corresponding daily through a flurry of emails to figure out what songs to perform for her two-episode arc. “We’re trying to do something fantastic,” Murphy told Entertainment Weekly.

And for the Little Monsters that couldn’t get enough of last fall’s Gaga-centric episode that had each member of New Horizons dressed to the nines in Gaga gear, Lady Gaga gave producers the green light to tackle her new and highly buzzed-about single, “Born This Way.” (The single drops next month). According to Murphy, the single will be in a March or April episode, and focus on the anti-gay bully Karofsky (Max Adler) who has been terrorizing Kurt (Chris Colfer) this season.

Murphy acknowledged that “Glee,” at the end of the day, is a positive show, and uses music as a means of expression. “This show is by nature optimistic and I think a character like Karofsky could turn to booze or pills or alcohol and kill themselves or do something dark. But I also love Max and I love that character and I sorta want that character to have a happy ending.”

Paltrow is reprising her role with singer Cee-Lo Green on "Saturday Night Live" January 15th.  Below, check out the video from her last "Glee" appearance.
