Two former “American Idol“ judges are going to be reunited.
Paula Abdul will be returning to judge with Simon Cowell on the latter’s “X Factor” talent show, a source with knowledge of the negotiations, told The Associated Press.
Abdul had been rumored to join the program, but confirmation was stalled because of the negotiations, said the source, who spoke anonymously because FOX and The X Factor producers have not publicly commented on it.
Abdul’s reps did not return comment.
Along with Cowell, Abdul had been the original judge on Idol until she departed from the highly successful program until 2009. Her most recent venture on TV was CBS’ "Live to Dance" show, which tanked. A CBS source, who also spoke under condition of anonymity, said that Abdul has been excused from any additional obligations.
Earlier yesterday, E! News confirmed that the hosts of “The X Factor” will be former Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger and British TV host Steve Jones.
