Spice Girls Will Reunite for London Olympics: Report

The 90s pop stars will reportedly sing at the closing ceremonies.

People of the world will have another chance to spice up their lives, now that the Spice Girls are reportedly reuniting for an Olympic show.

The 90s British pop sensations will represent their homeland in the closing ceremonies of this summer’s Olympic Games, The Daily Mail reported.

Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice) was reportedly the last Spice Girl on board with the Olympic reunion plans, according to the Daily Mail, although Emma Bunton (Baby Spice), Melanie Brown (Scary Spice), Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice) and Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice) were enthusiastic from the beginning.

Despite the reported reservations, all five agreed to perform together for the first time since their 2008 reunion tour, according to the Daily Mail. The paper reported that the group had signed on to sing two songs, one of which will be their breakout hit "Wannabe."

The pop stars recently gathered in London to launch their musical, “Viva Forever."

“I loved being back with the girls,” Beckham told Irish radio host John Murray of the musical, adding that she was open to future collaborations with her bandmates. “It was a lot of fun. We did so much together. We’ll see. If they’re up for something, then I certainly am."
