Sister of Nick and Aaron Carter Dies at 25

Aspiring singer Leslie Carter died Tuesday in upstate New York.

Leslie Carter, the sister of former Backstreet Boy Nick Carter and pop singer Aaron Carter, died Tuesday at the age of 25.

The aspiring singer, who had a single "Like Wow" included on the "Shrek" movie soundtrack, was found at her home in upstate New York. No cause of death has been released; an autopsy left it unknown pending toxicology reports, E! Online reported.

"Our family is grieving right now and it's a private matter," a spokesperson for the family told Access Hollywood. "We are deeply saddened for the loss of our beloved sister, daughter, and granddaughter, Leslie Carter. We request the utmost privacy during this difficult time."

In addition to pursuing music, Leslie appeared on the 2006 reality show "House of Carters." She leaves behind a husband and one-year-old daughter.

Aaron Carter will be taking a break from his starring role in an off-Broadway revival of "The Fantasticks" to mourn his sister.

Nick Carter is resuming a tour on Thursday at New York's Irving Plaza and doesn't intend to cancel the future dates, People Magazine reported.

"Performing is cathartic to me and I am dedicating the rest of my tour to my sister since she loved to watch me perform," Nick Carter said.
