Rocker Bruce Springsteen canceled a planned show Monday in Kansas City after his cousin, a longtime roadie for Springsteen and his E Street Band, was found dead in a hotel, according to reports.

Lenny Sullivan, 36, was found dead at Kansas City’s Intercontinental Hotel and local police were investigating, The Associated Press reported. A police spokesman said the death was not suspicious.

"A warm and sensitive person, he was beloved by Bruce, the Band, the crew, and the entire Thrill Hill family," read a statement on Springsteen’s web site.

The band said that all tickets for Monday’s show at Sprint Center would be refunded at the place where they were originally purchased.

“Bruce and The Band deeply appreciate the understanding of our Kansas City audience and look forward to returning at the earliest opportunity,” the statement said.
