Madonna Celebrates Birthday in Poland

Diva rings in 51st year in Warsaw

Madonna rang in her 51st birthday in Warsaw last night, celebrating the evening before her special day with a concert in the Polish capital.

Fans in the European country held up signs supporting the Material Girl's birthday, wishing the singer many more years of life -- and song.

Madonna's official birthday is Aug. 16, but that didn't stop revelers from the birthday celebrations.

"I feel your love!" Madonna told the tens of thousands who came to see her Sticky & Sweet tour, according to the Associated Press.

Protestors lined up outside the concert venue, speaking out against the performance, which fell on the Roman Catholic holiday celebrating the Virgin Mary's heavenly assumption.

The protests didn't stop Madonna from rocking out on-stage -- she even had time to squeeze in a tribute to Michael Jackson.

"Let's give it up for one of the greatest artists the world has ever known," Madonna shouted to the audience.

Madonna, 51, is currently dating model  Jesus Luz. She split from ex-husband Guy Ritchie last year.
