J-Lo Teams with “Idol” Producer for New Musical Competition Project

After countless auditions and critiques this season, after plenty of forced smiles listening to yet another rendition of “All By Myself,” Jennifer Lopez, “American Idol” judge, is embarking on a new project.

Entertainment Weekly reports that Lopez is partnering up with “American Idol” producer Simon Fuller along with Lopez’ hubby Mark Antony to make a Latin American musical talent search. The project is tentatively called “Que Viva.”

The show is still in early development and currently searching for a network.

It begs to be asked—if Lopez is starting a new talent-based program, will she continue judging "Idol"?

Entertainment Weekly says that, based on her positive ratings, Fox will most likely ask for the singer back. On top of that, Fuller wouldn’t do something so conflicting with a show as popular as “Idol," EW says.

Lopez hasn't committed to an answer yet.

“I don’t know if I will do another season,” J-Lo said recently. “I’m taking it day by day at the moment, and we’ll see what happens.”
