Prince Delivers a Rocking Performance on Fallon

The icon performed electric guitar solos with an all-female band

Prince performed two songs on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.” The influential singer first played his new single "Screwdriver" followed by his 1979 track "Bambi" from his second self-titled studio album.

The audience roared as the icon sang and played guitar solos backed by his new all-female band 3rd Eye Girl.

Mariah Carey, who appeared earlier in the episode, said she would enjoy collaborating with Prince but would need to prepare.

"I would be beyond honored but I would need three days of vocal rest because he goes hard," Carey said.

Carey's comment proved to be true.

At the end of Prince's second performance, he played an electric guitar solo then threw his guitar onto the ground, leaving the stage without looking back.

"Screwdriver" is available for download on his new band's website.
