New “Voice” Coaches Ask: “Are You Gonna Go My Way?”

"The Voice" returns Monday, Feb. 23, on NBC with Christina Aguilera back in the big red chair alongside Blake Shelton, Adam Levine and Pharrell Williams.

To kick off the first episode of Season 8, our musical maestros perform Lenny Kravitz’s "Are You Gonna Go My Way?" First released by Kravitz in 1993, it's a fitting query to those singers who find themselves in the enviable position of having to choose between one or more of the quartet after the buzzers have been pressed and those chairs swivel around.

Season 7 of the hit talent show saw Craig Wayne Boyd named "The Voice" in December, with the win marking a fourth victory for Team Blake over Team Adam. The victory was particularly tough on Levine due to all three Season 7 runners-up hailing from Team Adam.

Founding coach Aguilera returns for the new season after being replaced by Shakira and Gwen Stefani in Seasons 6 and 7, respectively. In August Aguilera gave birth to her second child, a daughter with fiance Matthew Rutler. In January, the "Beautiful" singer revealed to Extra that she was working with fellow "Voice" coach Pharrell on her new studio album.

Aguilera and Pharrell were both winners at the recent Grammy Awards. Aguilera won alongside A Great Big World for best pop performance for their hit song "Say Something," while Pharrell took home three prizes: best music video for "Happy," best pop solo performance (also for "Happy") and best urban contemporary album for "G I R L."

"The Voice" airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
