Tina Fey and Amy Poehler Returning to Host Golden Globe Awards

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler have signed up to host NBC's coverage of the Golden Globes for two more years.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced Tuesday that the former "Saturday Night Live" alums will be back to emcee the event which is scheduled to held in Beverly Hills, Calif., on Jan. 12.

The "30 Rock" and "Parks and Recreation" stars garnered good reviews for their hosting skills at the 2013 show, enough for Globe organizers to also sign them for the 2015 ceremony.

“Tina and Amy are two of the most talented comedic writer/performers in our business and they were a major reason the Golden Globes was the most entertaining awards show of last season,” Paul Telegdy, president of alternative and late night programming for NBC, said in a statement. “We’re elated they wanted to host together again and that they committed for the next two years.”

Allen Shapiro, the CEO of Dick Clark Productions, said Fey and Poehler have a "truly unique chemistry, making them one of the most talented and captivating pairings of all-time."

When Poehler, 42, and Fey, 43, took the reins for the first time in 2013 the telecast drew 19.7 million viewers, up 17% from the previous year. It was the highest-rated Globes ceremony in six years.

Theo Kingma, president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association — the organization behind the Globes — said that the return of Fey and Poehler "ensures that the Golden Globes will once again be the biggest, best and most entertaining awards celebration of the year.”
