No fairy tale ending for Liberty Ross and Rupert Sanders.
Ross filed for divorce from the Snow White and the Huntsman director in L.A. Superior Court today, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split after more than 10 years of marriage, People reports.
Sanders filed his response at the same time and they are both seeking joint custody of their children, son Tennyson and daughter Skyla, per documents obtained by TMZ. Ross is seeking spousal support and attorney fees from her ex.
The British couple, who made their home in Malibu, were noticeably on the outs following the publication last July of photographs of Sanders getting cozy with his Snow White star, Kristen Stewart.
Sanders immediately issued an apology, stating, "I am utterly distraught about the pain I have caused my family. My beautiful wife and heavenly children are all I have in this world. I love them with all my heart. I am praying that we can get through this together."
The next time Ross was seen in public, she had ditched her wedding ring, while Sanders continued to be photographed wearing his as the summer went on.
They were last spotted together out with their kids on Halloween.
"I do think that this year is kind of the end of some things and the beginnings of something else," she said. "And I think that beginnings are always really exciting, and change is very important in life."
