It’s hard to believe but "Voice" champion Danielle Bradbery was once so nervous about performing on stage that she wouldn't even sing in front of her family.

“I would be singing in my room to the wall basically and sometimes I remember at Thanksgiving, I would have to slide under the table because I didn’t like anyone looking at me,” Bradbery said on NBC's “Today “ show Friday.

As her fans already know, the youngest winner in the four-season history of "The Voice" had never performed on stage before appearing in the NBC competition.

Singing on the show “was really scary at first and I didn’t know what to expect because I didn’t have any experience at all,” the country-crooner said of overcoming her stage fright. “I got the courage to go and do something.”

Bradbery is already on to her next challenge. Days after winning the competition she signed to Big Machine Record, the same label as Taylor Swift. The 16-year year old prodigy is reportedly scheduled to begin recording her debut album early as next week, according to Just Jared.

“I already started thinking about [the album],” Bradbery told “Today.” “I love country but I would want to be more pop country."

Bradbery beat out Michelle Chamuel, who took second place, and the Swon Brothers for the big prize on Tuesday. It was the third time in a row that a member of coach Blake Shelton's team has won the show.

"You are an amazing coach and an amazing person, I love you coach," the country-crooner told Shelton following her victory.

Before being crowned the winner, Bradbery joined young country singer-songwriter Hunter Hayes for a duet on his song "I Want Crazy."

Haize, who performed on the “Today” show Friday, surprised Bradbery during the interview and gave her a guitar as a gift.

“It will be a fantastic friend for you,” he said.
