The word no is probably something Forbes "Most Powerful Celebrity" Oprah Winfrey is not used to hearing. But on a recent trip to Switzerland, the former talk show host said she was told exactly that. Winfrey said that while shopping in Zurich, she was a victim of racism when a saleswoman refused to show her a handbag in the store, calling it "too expensive" for the media mogul who has earned a reported $77 million over the last year.

Amanda Bynes Under Parental Supervision

The former child star's head-scratching behavior -- from a bong throwing incident to an impromptu driveway fire -- forced a legal intervention on Friday. A judge granted Amanda Bynes' mother temporary conservatorship, which allows her to control decisions about her daughter's health and finances. The 27-year-old actress who is currently receiving mental health treatment recently received public support from former "All That" castmate Nick Cannon who told Bynes he's "only a phone call away." Maybe it's time Amanda takes him up on the offer.

Usher's Son Survives Near-Drowning

Usher spoke out to thank the two men who saved his son from the R&B singer's pool at his Atlanta home on Monday. The 5-year-old boy was underwater trying to retrieve a toy in the pool when his arm got stuck in a drain. After his aunt and housekeeper failed to rescue him, two male contracters working in the house successfully saved him from nearly drowning. The boy is recovering at a hospital in Atlanta, while his mom and Usher's ex-wife attempts to claim temporary primary custody of her two sons.

Dustin Hoffman Beats Cancer

The two-time Oscar winning actor responded positively to treatment for cancer and has been "surgically cured," according to his rep, who also added that Hoffman is "feeling great." The 75-year-old actor who made his major movie debut in 1967's "The Graduate" isn't slowing down -- he's set to star alongside Judi Dench in a movie version of Roald Dahl's Esio Trot.
