Nick Cannon took to social media to mourn Monique Clarke, the young woman killed Sunday in a mass shooting in San Diego.
Clarke was shot and killed while attending a birthday pool party at the La Jolla Crossroads apartments, in San Diego.
Cannon described her as a childhood friend "who was more like family."
"Tears can't express the pain and shock," he wrote.
The gunman, identified as 49-year-old Peter Selis, opened fire at the party, killing her and injuring seven other people.
A GoFundMe page has been set up for the victims to help with all of the medical costs.
