An unexpected announcemnet from WGN-AM radio Friday brought an end to the popular "Kathy and Judy Show," which has been on the air for 20 years.
Trying to put a happy face on their sad news, Kathy O'Malley and Judy Markey issued a press release Friday, saying, "One of the things we've always talked about is change." This is a change for them.
"This was a business decision," said Tom Langmyer, VP/General Manager of WGN Radio. He added that, in a changing media climate, it's time to take the station "in a new direction."
