Smashing Pumpkins Frontman OK After Concert Mishap

Corgan tweets that he's "moving slow" but doing better

Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan collapsed onstage during a Florida concert, but lived to tweet about it.

Corgan, who was recently linked romantically to Jessica Simpson, was rendered briefly unconscious during a performance of "Bullet With Butterfly Wings" Wednesday night in Tampa. He came to and finished the show somewhat worse for wear.

"And for those of you who saw me fall last night during 'Bullet,' that wasn't a stage move or clumsiness, that was me blacking out and wiping out," he tweeted. "I have no memory of falling against the drum riser and my guitar cabinet, but I can tell you I've got quite a bruise and am moving slow."

Corgan will be back on stage tonight in Knoxville, Tenn., before returning to his hometown of Chicago to play a benefit concert next Tuesday at the Metro. The storied club is where the original Pumpkins played their last show before breaking up 10 years ago.
