Seven of ten celebrities have been chosen and Rod Blagojevich isn't on the "A" list.
NBC announced its initial lists of contestants for its new live summer television event "I'm a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!"
And one of them is backing a bid to bring back Blago.
Stephen Baldwin says he’s willing to go before Judge James Zagel, who barred Blagojevich from traveling to Costa Rica for the show because of those pesky federal charges against him.
“If there’s an opportunity to go before the judge and it would help the situation I would be more than happy to go,” Baldwin reportedly told the former governor who helped promote the show he is currently not on.
To prove it, Baldwin will don a handmade button on his lapel during interviews that says ‘Leggo My Blago."
Baldwin defended Blagojevich said he believes people are innoncent until proven guilty so everyone should still be under the assumption that “he’s innocent.”
“I would love for Blagojevich to be on the show,” Baldwin said, adding that he should be considered innocent until to proven guilty. “He would add intensity and spice.”
The show premiers June 1, and the cast members alongside Baldwin will include: Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt (stars of MTV's "The Hills"), NBA great and TV personality John Salley ("Best Damned Sports Show Period"), supermodel and TV star Janice Dickinson ("The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency"), 2007 "American Idol" contestant Sanjaya Malakar and professional wrestler and beauty queen Torrie Wilson.
Additional celebrity contestants, along with the hosts of the show, will be named soon, according to a press release, so Blago's role may still be a possibility.
The fallen governor was in Los Angeles to tape a promo for the show, despite a judge's ruling that he would not be allowed to leave the country to participate in the show.
"I'm a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!" is the ultimate "Swiss Family Robinson" as 10 celebrities will be dropped into the heart of the jungle to face fun and comedic challenges designed to test their survival skills.
The former governor has said that he was looking forward to the jungle experience and that he wanted to do it for the money.
"If that means going into the jungle and having to eat some bugs, it's just a testament to how much I love my kids," Blagojevich said.
In each episode of the new show, friendships will be tested, hilarity will ensue and viewers will decide which celebrities stay or go. The last remaining star will be crowned King or Queen of the Jungle, winning a substantial cash prize for their favorite charity, the release states.
Apparently, Blago is his own favorite charity.
"I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!" will air at 8 p.m. over four weeks in June.
