Not even students of the famed magic school Hogwarts can cast off a nasty bout of swine flu.

Actor Rupert Grint -- better known as Harry Potter's earnest but clumsy sidekick Ronald Weasley -- caught the flu when he was shooting the seventh film in the popular magic series, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows."

The boy wizard's best bud had to take a few days off to get well, but Grint should be fully recovered by Tuesday in time for the London premier of the latest  film, "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince," his publicist said.

"It has just been confirmed that Rupert Grint has taken a few days out of filming due to a mild bout of swine flu," the publicist said in a statement.  "He has now recovered and is looking forward to joining his fellow cast members at the junket and premieres this week and will then return to filming directly afterwards."

Hogwarts has not reported any other cases of  the virus.

The "Half Blood Prince" opens in the U.S. July 15.
