It’s off to a regal start.
Two engagement pictures, both taken by famed fashion photographer Mario Testino, have been released.
According to Britain’s newspaper, The Telegraph, the happy couple selected these two portraits out of many, choosing a solemn one of the two in the Council Chamber, and one light-hearted one with the couple embracing, with Kate’s engagement ring--formerly the late Princess Diana’s—on prominent display.
The photos were both taken at the council chamber at St. James’s Palace, the BBC reports.
Testino, who has shot many iconic images of the Royal Family, had nothing but good things to say of the pair. “They are in their prime and brimming with happiness. I have never felt to much joy as when I see them together.”
The couple is slated to marry in April of next year. Expect the next mad rush of excitement when Kate selects her much-buzzed-about wedding dress.
