Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon: We're Having a Boy and a Girl

Barack and Michelle Obama were the first to get confirmation Mariah Carey was expecting twins. Now the secret’s out on what their sex will be.

The “Honey” singer and her hubby Nick Cannon made the entertainment news rounds Tuesday to confirm they’re expecting a son and daughter.

"Even before we announced it was twins, I was trying to keep everything genderneutral because I didn't want to impose an identity on them too soon," Carey told Life & Style after a family friend leaked the couple’s big news to the tabloid.

Carey added fans had thrown “contests on Twitter” betting that she and Cannon would have two boys or two girls.

“But nobody guessed this," she said.

Cannon said Tuesday his wife’s pregnancy cravings had her “cooking up a storm” of late.

“She doesn’t eat,” he told Access Hollywood. “She cooks all this food and her cravings go away and she makes me eat it, so I’m gaining all the weight.”

The “America’s Got Talent” host can expect his diet to stabilize around late April or early May. That’s when Carey is due, according to E! News.
