Miley Cyrus has reevaluated her Vanity Fair photo controversy of April 2008, and decided it wasn’t that bad after all.

“Everyone outside of America liked it a little bit more because that’s more like the style, but the States are really conservative,” Miley told Scotland’s Daily Record about the Annie Leibovitz shoot, the results of which she originally said made her feel “embarrased.” “[I] guess I just had to deal with that and just realize that I got to work with an amazing photographer.”

Perhaps one reason for Miley’s change of heart has to do with her goal in life. The teen sensation told the newspaper she wants to spend some time behind the lens in the future.

“That’s what I want to do with my life,” the pop star continued, referencing Leibovitz’s chosen profession. “I would love to be a photographer. She was amazing and so talented and her lighting… I would love to work with her again. But I realize I’m just a kid.”

And like other young people, Miley’s parents have rules about her spending. Though she is now old enough to drive, and she rakes in millions each year, her parents told her not to purchase the luxury vehicle she had been dreaming of.

“Certainly not because then I would be broke,” Miley said. “I wouldn’t have anything left to support my family because that’s what I want to do. When I get older, and maybe my parents want to settle down, I want to be able to take care of them.”

For now though, it’s Billy Ray and his wife Leticia who take care of Miley.

And they may be doing so for a while. Miley has no plans to move out of the family home – where she has her own wing – at present.

“Maybe when I am 20,” she said. “When my mom stops cooking for me. As soon as my mom stops making me food then I’m out. My sister lived at home until she went to college at 18 and she says, ‘Oh, I wish I’d stayed at home a little longer.’ My brother’s 19 and he’s still at home so I think I want to stay until 20 or 21.”
