Actor Martin Lawrence married his companion Shamicka Gibbs in an intimate ceremony at the actor’s Beverly Hills home Saturday, People magazine reported.
The “Bad Boys” star, 45, and his fianceé, 35, tied the knot in the backyard and were joined by 120 guests that included Denzel Washington and Eddie Murphy. The couple’s daughters, America, 7, and Lyana, 9, along with Jasmine, 14, Lawrence’s daughter from his previous marriage, served as flower girls.
“They wanted an intimate celebration,” a source told the magazine. “This wedding was all about family.”
According to People, the reception was held under a tent with two long tables arranged to form an “X” for the guests to sit together. Food served at the reception included crab cakes, salmon and a four-tiered wedding cake designed by Beverly Hills' Rosebud Cakes.
Lawrence’s next movie project is “Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son,” slated for next year, according to the Internet Movie Database.
