Bananas! LiLo Dines with Woody Allen

Lindsay Lohan's mom tells the New York Post Woody Allen is "really good friends" with her daughter

Well, la-de-dah.

Woody Allen may have found his latest muse in Lindsay Lohan, as the 25-year-old starlet was spotted out for dinner with the 76-year-old filmmaker in New York City Saturday night.

A photo in the New York Post showed Allen playing the perfect gentleman by holding the door for the rehabilitated “Mean Girl” after dinner at Philippe restaurant in Manhattan. They left the restaurant in separate cars, Access Hollywood reported.

So what gives? Lohan’s mom Dina told the Post the Oscar-winning “Midnight in Paris” director and writer is “really great friends” with her daughter and “believes in her talent.”

The family thinks Allen is a “genius” and LiLo would be interested in working for him if a role opened up, the Post reported. Should Lohan score a part she’d join a list of leading Allen ladies that includes: “Annie Hall” Diane Keaton, Allen’s ex Mia Farrow, Drew Barrymore, Christina Ricci, Scarlett Johansson and Penélope Cruz.

It’s not the first time Lohan and Allen were photographed together in New York.

Back in February, Lohan mugged it up for the cameras while standing in between the director and his wife Soon-Yi Previn at the amfAR Gala.

Lohan is set to begin shooting for her Lifetime movie role as Elizabeth Taylor in "Liz & Dick" in June.
