Chaz Bono: I've Had ‘Positive Reactions' Following Gender-Reassignment

Chaz Bono began his gender-reassignment a little over a year ago, and the 41-year-old said he's been praised by others following his transformation.

"March 20 was a year since I started taking testosterone," Chaz told Access Hollywood's Tony Potts at the 21st annual Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) Media Awards in Century City, Calif., on Saturday.

He explained that his transformation is not complete, but said, "Oh my god. I'm very happy, feel really good."

Chaz said he believes people's opinions are changing for the better when it comes to ideas about gender and sexuality.

"I've had really good positive reactions from people," he continued. "I hoped people were starting to progress and move along and understand more, and so far my experience has shown that."
