Bret Michaels did not have the best Fourth of July, kicking off the weekend with a multi-car pile-up.

According to a post on the rocker's Web site, Michaels was on his way to St. Paul, Minn., from Toronto, when a vehicle lost control on the highway and crashed into his tour bus, causing a five-car pile-up.

The Poison singer was headed to the Taste of Minnesota music festival, where he was expected to do a solo performance.

Michaels is no stranger to accidental injury. On June 7, The "Rock of Love" star suffered a blow during the Tony Awards when part of the set malfunctioned and fell on his head. He walked away with a split-lip and nose fracture.

Michaels will next hit the stage when he rejoins the Poison tour on July 7 in Hartford, Conn.
