Bethenny Frankel Welcomes Baby Girl — Jill Zarin Starts Facebook Drama

"The Real Housewives of New York" star has given birth

"The Real Housewives of New York" star Bethenny Frankel has given birth, a rep for the star told People.

"Bethenny and [husband] Jason [Hoppy] are proud to welcome their new baby girl, Bryn Hoppy, born at 8 AM… in New York City," the rep told the mag.

However, the happy arrival didn't come without drama.

Earlier, "Housewives" frenemy Jill Zarin tried to get in on the baby news — and got it wrong.

In a Facebook status update, Jill wrote, "Heard Bethenny had a baby boy… so happy for her and Jason. So happy for them."

But the star was promptly criticized for attempting to break the news, drawing a flurry of comments on the social network site.

"No wonder Bethenny got rid of you as a friend !! She can't even enjoy a happy moment in her life with out you stealing it from her! this was not your information to Post," a user named Summer Breaz wrote.

And Christine Marker added, "You really are stuck in Jr High!! The fact that you announced the birth of B's baby boy is DISGUSTING!! How dare you? You really do need to seek therapy for your need to be center of attention."

On the current "Housewives" season, airing on Bravo, the two women are not on speaking terms.

On Friday, a source close to Bethenny confirmed to Access Hollywood that the reality star was in labor, "about a month" before her scheduled due date.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Bethenny married boyfriend Jason Hoppy in March. She announced her pregnancy on Twitter last October.
