Actress Estella Warren Charged with DUI, Assault

She got her big break in the movie "Driven," but now her antics behind the wheel may land her in jail.

Actress Estella Warren, who was arrested on May 23rd, has been charged with DUI, hit-and-run, battery on a police officer and resisting arrest.

On the night in question, police claim that Warren struck several cars in West Los Angeles with her Toyota Prius and was belligerent and uncooperative when pulled over. She allegedly hit a police officer, and later broke free of her handcuffs and attempted to flee.

Warren already has a prior DUI conviction, from 2007. She could face a maximum of six months in jail.

The 32 year-old is scheduled to be arraigned on June 17th.

Born in Ontario, Canada, Warren was a former Canadian National Champion synchronized swimmer before becoming a model. She was thrust into the spotlight when "Driven" director Renny Harlin saw her at #1 in the 2000 Maxim magazine "Hot 100" list and cast her to co-star alongside Sylvester Stallone in his Formula 1 racing drama.
