KeyLime Cove Water Park Voted Among Best in Nation

A Chicago-area water park has been named one of the best in the nation by a USA Today report.

KeyLime Cove Indoor Waterpark Resort in Gurnee was voted eighth in the country in the publication's "10Best Readers' Choice" awards for the category of "Best Indoor Water Park."

Among the water park's most thrilling features is the Hurricane's Vortex water slide, described as "a super-sized spinning inner tube ride for one or two riders that ends in a heart-pounding drop."

KeyLime Cove has a total of 12 water slides, a wave pool, a lazy river, a hot tub and a giant interactive play structure with a 250-foot gallon tipping bucket.

The massive water park is heated to 84 degrees to create a tropical-themed experience. The water park itself takes up 65,000 square feet, but the resort also includes an 8,000-square-foot arcade and several restaurants and an ice cream parlor.
