Yahoo Travel named Smoque BBQ as the best place to get barbecue in Illinois.
The site set out to find the best places to get charred food in each state because, as they say, some people believe “good barbecue only exists in a handful of states.”
Yahoo Travel likened the restaurant located on the Northwest Side to Adam’s Rib barbecue, the mythical place that Alan Alda’s character in MASH yearned for when he felt homesick.
“Smoque is not that place, but it’s a worthy stand-in,” the site said.
