2 Chicago Italian Restaurants Named Among Best in Nation

Two Chicago eateries landed on TimeOut magazine’s list of best Italian restaurants in America.

Osteria Langhe in Logan Square was listed at number 15, with the publication describing the restaurant as “warm and cozy, and you’ll want to order a bottle of well-chosen wine for the table before diving into the food.”

“The plin, miniature agnolotti filled with cheese, are beautiful and light; the beef tartare is impeccably seasoned,” the magazine added.

Cafe Spiaggia on the Near North Side also landed on the list at number 17. TimeOut praised the place for “its airy room, views of bustling Michigan Avenue and incredible housemade pastas.”

Bar La Grassa in Minneapolis also earned praise from the magazine for its foie gras tortellini and salted-caramel crespelle.

Restaurant Vetri in Philadelphia landed at the top of the list.

The list was made to highlight the restaurants across the U.S. that provide the best pizza and pasta, along with the best fine wines and craft beers, according to the site.
