President Obama Golfs on Day 2 of Chicago Weekend Trip

Speculation has been swirling over President Obama's visit to Chicago this weekend, for what could be his last trip to his hometown as commander in chief.

While the president was scheduled to attend several fundraisers throughout the weekend, the White House did not release an itinerary of official business for Saturday, leaving many to wonder what he would do.

As it turns out, President Obama wanted to golf. Around 10:45 a.m., the motorcade arrived at Olympia Fields Country Club in south suburban Olympia Fields.

According to its website, the club hosted the 2003 U.S. Open and will be home to the 2017 KPMG PGA Women’s Championship as well.

As for his golf partners, President Obama played with attorney and longtime supporter Alan Solow, investment advisor Rod Goldstein, and business executive Tom Kartsotis, who founded FOSSIL and Shinola.

Obama hit the links after spending a night on the town.

He arrived Friday around 12 p.m., attending a high-priced fundraiser for the DCCC alongside House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi at the home of donor Fred Eychaner.

Obama then cast an early ballot at the Chicago Board of Elections in the city's Loop Friday afternoon, cracking jokes but keeping mum about his vote.

After another fundraiser for the Hillary Victory Fund, the president returned to his Kenwood home before heading out for his evening engagements.

While many thought the motorcade may have been headed for the Cubs' first playoff game at Wrigley Field, Obama instead met with supporters of his foundation at Sepia, a restaurant in Chicago's West Loop.

After Sepia, the president then went to Swift & Sons on West Fulton Market for dinner.

"The president is having dinner with friends and supporters to continue his conversations regarding future plans for his foundation, including the library and programming," said Eric Schultz, principal deputy press secretary for the White House.

While he may have opted out of the Cubs game on Friday, Obama left the golf course shortly before 4 p.m., leaving plenty of time for the noted Sox fan to make an appearance at the Friendly Confines Saturday night.
